Tomorrow we will be releasing Vortimo 1.0 to the world. We have worked on this product for almost one thousand days. The last beta we released was in March 2020. It means that for more than a year, this project has – like it’s creators in the time of a global pandemic -remained largely hidden from view.

Releasing virgin software is nerve wrecking. It’s like revealing a painting, sculpture or film for the first time. It does not matter how many times you tell yourself “We make this software primarily for ourselves, not for the world”, you still want people to like and use it. You still want to see it running on many machines, you want to share your ideas with the world and you want the world to like it.

I sincerely hope that Vortimo will be loved by more than just me.
